At one time everyone was on the Feng Shui tip. The ancient Chinese practice of setting up a room so it could allow positive vibes to flow through was all the rage. While I didn’t get into it, I do believe the practice itself has merit. If our posture tells a person whether you are welcoming or not, the arrangement of a bedroom can certainly do the same. What I also know is that even if your bedroom is arranged in the most inviting manner, there are other things that can spoil a trisk with your lover. Keep reading to find the top 4 things you can do to lighten the mood of your home and prepare it for stress free love making.
1) Clean up- If your home is anything like mine, it often looks like a war zone between the kids and our revolving door due to work schedules. Giving a space a quick general straightening before initiating sex is a great way to tell your spouse you have been thinking about them. It also tells them that they are worthy of the time preparation takes. This may certainly translate into more time spent pleasing you.
2) Get rid of any pictures that could be distracting- Like many homes, family pictures are everywhere. Including pictures of your children, and even worst, your in-laws. If you know you are going to get things going in the living room, be sure to remove or cover any of the photos that may take your mind off of each other. A better idea is to designate a hallway or extra room to family memoirs so you never get caught off guard.
3) Baby free the bed- Many of us spouses also don the title of parent as well. And while newborns, toddlers and young children are cute, there is nothing cute about rolling over on the toy that says “I like that” all weird and squeaky-like. Take a minute before your romp in the hay and remove all rattles, bottles and toys so you two can have some adult play time with no distractions.
4) Aroma-therapy- light a candle or spray a room freshener. This helps set the mood for the night or evening. Be considerate of any allergies to avoid mistakenly spoiling the mood.
Use each of these as precursors to your night in order to create the perfect pairing for just you two! Once you’ve done that, you will want to know how to make the most of this new inviting atmosphere even through your very busy work week. Click here to get my free tips on doing just that!
